Throughout history there have been many turning points and change. These changes effected peoples political, economic and social conditions. The fall of the Berlin wall/collapse of the Soviet Union and the fall of the of the Roman Empire both are turning points. Both of these turning points effected peoples political economic and social conditions. They didn't happen over night but they were still turning points that effected people and their way of life.
There were many reasons why the fall of the Berlin wall/ collapse of the Soviet Union is a turning point. For example, the government was so focused on building up their military they didn't have the money to support the people. This caused them to go bankrupt. This effected the people politically, economically and socially because one they had no money, so things they needed weren't getting supplied. Then it effected them socially because the living conditions they lived in started to get worse be the lack of 'money the government had. The government also became motionless, and showed no activity. The people were effected by this because they didn't have decent living conditions. At the same time living in a dictator was now over.

The Emperor was spending most of its money on their military and little to no money was being spent on the people. This caused the people to be left with out things they needed to survive. The Empire also had weak leadership because the empire grew too big and couldn't be effectually governed. Their lack of new technology caused the empire to fall behind. This made them vulnerable to attacks.
